More about the Trailer
In the opening moments of the trailer, we get a brief glimpse at what’s about to happen: a good sunny day on a lake is upended as night falls, and a figure shrouded in darkness pursues a fleeing trio. A knife flash, a panicked face, and a ramp-up of intense music lead to the movie’s title card.
Following this, we see a pair of women, who are Parker and Miri, both excitedly packing for a springtime trip. As the two reach their destination, a luxurious cabin in the middle of the woods, they enjoy a fun day of winding down. Frozen pizzas and a quick swim start a relaxing time for them away from the troubles of the world. The first night of their trip arrives, and an unexpected visitor makes their first appearance, who appears to be an old friend, DJ. He stops with them to join the duo, questioning their intentions of quarantining alone. The trio makes the most of their time by partying, as DJ goes outside to grab something from his car. In leaving the cabin door open, however, a stiff, shadowy figure wanders inside.
Looking at Sick’s trailer, the movie looks to be a slasher that takes advantage of its unique setting in multiple ways. If the film retains even half of the effort put into its trailer, we can expect a really solid start to Peacock’s video streaming service by mid-January.
