Do you love PvP? Are BattleGrounds where you satisfy your lust for killing other players? Well if so, please join us for some special, non-custom BG weekends in the month of September.

Every weekend during September, we will offer one of four selected BattleGrounds as a non-custom BG. This month, the highlighted BattleGrounds will be Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin, Eye of the Storm, and Strand of the Ancients. The weekends start at midnight on Friday night (server time), and end at midnight on Sunday night (server time). September 6-8 will be Warsong Gulch, September 13-14 will be Arathi Basin, September 20-21 will be Eye of the Storm, and September 27-28 will be Strand of the Ancients.

NO CUSTOM ITEM OF ANY KIND may be used in the selected BG for that weekend. (This includes [Neverendless Bag], and any custom shirts or tabards won in such major Neverendless events as NECon and Anniversary celebrations.) You may have custom items in your bags, but none may be equipped.

This will be a great opportunity for you to practice your PvP skills without using your customs, in preparation for the Non-Custom Arena Tournament, which starts October 1. Details about the tournament will follow in the near future.

Good job NE, awesome idea... Would also be nice to have a "custom season" too imo.

Anyway, everyone that has just a little quantity of brain knows that, like akways, too many QQers use those kind of threads to show how frustrated they are from being not donor, or having not enough GS or having not enough skill.

there is nothing super or pro or OP about custom items.
they are just a little bit stronger.
just like wrath is stronger compared to relentless.
in the old CI system they where OP tho. but that is history.

Terrible idea ,punish those that support this server with their hard earned cash ,real Genius ,REJOICE everyone .

usually i would consider that a great ideea, but since most ppl here are customs, denying them to enter BG's would only lead to even lesser BG;s. In the last few weeks i've seen countless not full BG;s .... like AB with 9 ppl. WSG in 6 or the worse AV with 8-9 ppl :)) hilarious. And as Adamastos said, there are ppl who paid for the gear and want to play ... and now guess what? they cant LMFAO. It is outrageous lol :))
Anyway, it is just my personal opinion.

what Adamastos and unkle have both posted is very true, customs are paid for to have the privilege of better gear, yet i see so often 1v1 / 2v2 NO Custom allowed and i see now its BG's NO custom allowed. as said custom gear is paid for to play on the server with, yet i can't remember ever seeing bg's Custom only or 1v1 /2v2 Custom only. pay for a privilege and persecuted for it because some can not afford the gear or just not interested in purchasing it to help the site. if they bothered to play hard get the best in game gear and enchanted it and added the body armor enchantments then they wouldn't be far behind in stats to a custom donor, and NOT every donor is full they may have a few trinkets and a weapon yet classed as full donor by the moaning minies.

Oh common guys i'm custom too and i'm not complaining about this. If you don't see the point in this you may be blind, many people left the server because unbalanced customs unfair bgs and things like that, with events like this those players may return. Think a little about the server and less about you.

Exactly! I have my customs too, but I love to be able to have some bgs with the playing field leveled, and I think this is great for the server. People need to think about what's best for everyone.

Plus, looking on the bright side for donors, playing in non-customs for the weekend will give donors a chance to get better with their toons. I certainly feel better after this weekend...

NONSENSE ....nobody left because customs were op in those days, that is a fib that non donors like to tell each other to sleep better at night.
On the contrary, it had a negative if not profound effect on donors, for as soon as the customs were nerfed 100's if not more left the server not seeing and not feeling that their hard earned money spent on weak customs is a fair deal.
Those that whined and cried ironically stayed, FD'S however did not even bother complaining ,THEY JUST LEFT.
