Downloading through FTP with FireFTP addon in Firefox seems faster than BitTorrent
I have slow 384k DSL line and the eta changed from 3y 22w -> BitTorrent
to 22hours -> FTP.

It might be slow but at least its uncapped :-)

why can't you put addons in the new cata folder? there is an interface folder but it's empty

Have downloaded the torrent from Demonoid dl speed was consistently between 800kbps and 1mbps, it works perfectly, now all I gotta do is wait for 8 hours time and Cata here I come!

I'm downloading Cata by FTP link, however when I try to download these 2 files
1- expansion2.MPQ
2- world.MPQ
Both in the path: FTP Listing of /World of Warcraft - Cataclysm/Data/

I get an error message that the download failed because the source file cannot be reade

Can anyone help me with this ?

Yes, you don't need anything else but download it and it's good to go, make sure you set your realmlist properly.
